FAQ

What is the process once I call you?

First we will come to your home-business and meet with you, during that time we will assess your needs, your desires, and discuss what we can offer. From that meeting, we will draw up an action plan, meet with you over the phone about the plan, and then schedule a start date.

What will happen to my items once they leave my house?

Items that are not deemed trash will be immediately donated to the charity of your choice. We also offer assistance on listing your valuable items with ebay, craigslist, or yard-garage sales. We do recommend that you donate as much as possible, and have the items removed from the area the same day that the decision to donate is made.

I have issues with hoarding, where should I start?

With hoarding, as with other compulsive disorders, therapy is always a recommendation. Having a professional therapist in conjunction with a professional organizer will make continued success much more attainable.

I'm embarassed about my situation, how can you help me there?

All of our services are confidential, non-judgemental  and geared towards protecting an individuals privacy. We understand that the clutter is not the person, and will go to all lengths to enhance your self confidence and keep you comfortable. Items will not be removed to yards, driveways, etc, for public viewing and your information or situation will not be discussed with others.

Typical symptoms of compulsive hoarding could include any or several of the following:

- Saving broken, irreparable, or useless things
-  Buying excessive quantities of goods beyond the amount needed for reasonable  usage
-  Purchasing large amounts of useful items and storing them away for future usage, but
never using them
Retrieving numerous materials from the trash on a regular basis
-  Having difficulty discarding anything due to a fear of accidentally throwing out something important
-  Saving excessive quantities of printed matter (newspapers, magazines, junk mail, etc.)
-  Making and keeping extensive lists or records of certain things, even after they are no longer needed
-  Saving large amounts of certain items for possible use by others or for future recycling
